After a few hours of training...2800 feet above the
ground...canopy blossomed above you.....
Then sudden stillness and quiet as the aircraft you left just
four seconds ago drones off to drop the next eager jumper...
The wonderful view you get with nothing beneath you but your own
legs...
No feeling of fear at the height...
Securely fastened into a comfortable harness...
Steering your parachute by a gentle pull on a steering toggle...
Receiving advice by radio to help steer yourself back to the
dropzone...
Landing, about as hard as jumping off the roof of a car...
Roll, like your training.....
What a sense of achievement!
